What is this?
The LifeQ Steps feature can help motivate you to get off the couch and get moving. It measures the number of steps you take in a 24-hour period, resetting at midnight every day.
Why is it important?
Exercise plays an important role in maintaining good health. Regular exercise may reduce the risk of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases such as coronary artery disease, diabetes, and its risk factors including obesity, high blood pressure, and hyperglycemia. Setting a goal number of steps for each day can help you make exercise a part of your daily routine.
The guideline for adults is 10 000 steps per day. If that sounds like a lot, find out how many steps you take per day on average and set a different goal you are more comfortable with.
How is it measured?
Your device measures the number of steps you take each day using a built-in accelerometer.
